Red admiral caterpillar is seven days old!

I saw our first red admiral butterfly of 2013 fly into our yard May 16 and land on a plant. I found one egg that she deposited there. I brought the plant (Pennsylvania pellitory) in and waited for the egg to hatch. It hatched five days later on May 21. The caterpillar shown here is seven days old! (If you do not recall what a red admiral butterfly looks like, click on the home page where a newborn red admiral is sitting in my son's hands.)
