This morning I woke up to find out that our first monarch caterpillar of 2013 had attached itself to the top of its container and was hanging in the "J" position. That means later today or tomorrow it will begin to wiggle and shed its skin and form its stunning green and gold chrysalis! It will hang there for about two weeks, and then we will welcome it as our first monarch butterfly of the season as it emerges.
