OMG!!! MONARCH EGGS appear on the milkweed--finally!!!

Scientists and citizen scientists like me have been worried about the monarch population this year and that is why it was so great to discover eggs on my common milkweed this afternoon. Notice the egg on the flower bud and one on the leaf behind it. Eggs usually hatch in three to five days. Caterpillars eat for 10 to 14 days and move into chrysalis stage for another two weeks. And we all know what happens after that!!!!
